Amino Acids part lll
I would like to write a seperate article about one of the foods that have all essential, and even some non essential amino acids: green blue algae.
If the body does not receive sufficient acids, certain body tissues are cannibalized, often causing such problems as premature aging, memory loss, poor intellectual performance and even depression. Blue-green algae contain all of the essential amino acids as well as most of the non essential amino acids, making them a complete protein supplement.Read more
Amino Acids part ll
We start with the essential amino acids , as our body can not make them, we have to be sure that we have them with our intake of food.
They are arginine (required for the young, but not for adults), histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
Amino Acids part l
We wrote about the minerals, the fatty acids , the vitamins and now we will write about the amino acids.
Amino acids are critical to life, and have a variety of roles in metabolism. One particularly important function is as the building blocks of proteins, which are linear chains of amino acids. Every protein is chemically defined by this primary structure, its unique sequence of amino acid residues, which in turn define the three-dimensional structure of the protein. Just as the letters of the alphabet can be combined to form an almost endless variety of words, amino acids can be linked together in varying sequences to form a vast variety of proteins.
Amino acids are very important in nutrition.Humans can produce 10 of the 20 amino acids. Read more

The Cutting Edge
When you cook macrobiotic, your knife is your best friend:
I have a Nakiri bocho (knife for cutting greens), Tokyo style and is sharpened from both sides.
The tang is made from wood, the edge from iron, which makes it easier to sharpen, and the spine is from stainless steel. It costs about 40 USD.
The stainless steel knife with the plastic tang on top of the picture costs about 1 USD.Read more
Sweet Basil
Recently, there has been much research into the health benefits conferred by the essential oils found in basil. Scientific studies have established that compounds in basil oil have potent antioxidant, anti-cancer, antiviral, and anti-microbial properties.
Basil also has been shown to decrease the occurrence of platelet aggregation and experimental thrombus in mice.
It is traditionally used for supplementary treatment of stress, asthma and diabetes in India. In Siddha medicine, it is used for treating pimples on the face, but noted that intake of the seeds in large quantities is harmful for the brain.
Mustard Greens
Mustard greens (Brassica juncea) are high in Vitamin A and Vitamin K.
You can stirr fry them, or cook with onion, and also pickled mustard greens are delicious.
This plant is also used to remove heavy metals from the soil in hazardous waste sites because it has a higher tolerance for these substances and stores the heavy metals in its cells. The plant is then harvested and disposed of properly.
Evolution 3: the Future
There are solutions to our problem, on individual level, on governemental level and on the level of trade.
First we have to go as green as possible, we have to reduce procreation and we have to rethink our business processes.
I, for example, buy only local goods, avoid buying goods from multinationals and a few years ago I had a vasectomy.
Evolution 1 : Where do we come from?
Evolution?
1) Big Bang, about 14 billion years ago.
2) About 4.5 billion years ago, Earth , our planet was formed.

4) 610 million years ago, first multicellular organismes appeared.
5) 300 million years ago, we see the first amphibians.
6) 200 million years ago, the first mammals.
7) 100 million years ago, the first birds, Read more
