Whole Food Cruise, Croatia
The story: In 2008 Steve, Livia, Olga and Zdenka, SLOZ in short, discussed the problem of taking vacations without having able to eat macrobiotic /quality vegetarian food. After a couple of get togethers in Prague and Budapest the decision was made and the SLOZ team started to make steps to organize a macrobiotic cruise on the Adriatic Sea, in Croatia for friends of common nutritional interests and concerns. The 2009 cruise was a great success, so the SLOZ decided to do it again in 2010.Read more
Everyday Environmentalists ~ Green Your Office
Greetings Fellow Environmentalists & Friends ,
You don't live at your office (although some days it feels like you do), but you can still do your part at work to be as environmentally minded as you are at home. These simple suggestions can be easily implemented to make your workday a little more sustainable:
Green commute! American workers spend an average of 47 hours per year commuting through rush hour traffic. This adds up to 3.7 billion hours and 23 billion gallons of gas wasted in traffic each year. There are many ways to cut your carbon footprint (and commuting costs) by changing the way you get to work.Read more
Fishy Therapy?
While I was in Hua Hin (Thailand) I decided to go for a treatment by doctor fish. Doctor fish are a species called garra rufa and originate in pools near two small Turkish towns, Kangal and Sivas. They have long been known for their ability to treat the symptoms of skin conditions such as psoriasis. The fish seems to bite only dead and bad skin, and if you put a child next to an elderly, they will choose for the older skin.

Day 20: 4th February 2010: Ending number 7
Yes, I am still alive
: I lost already 5 kilogram (10 pounds) in 6 days.
No bad taste in my mouth anymore, but my stool is still too light in color,so probably I mistreated my liver last year much more than I imagined.
This evening, I will start to eat vegetables again, after 10 days only brown rice and water: I will start with carrots with hiziki seaweed.
This morning I started to make seaweed crackers, so they will be finished by this evening too.
Yesterday I went for my weekly massage at Dahra Spa, and it was 90 minutes of heaven again, Miss Dao really found every point to stimulate my elimination of toxins, she is worth her weight in gold!
I feel amazingly well, I ask myself why I do no do this more frequently

Kidneys
At the start of this new year, I want again your attention for the two most important organs:
the kidneys and the liver.
Good knowledge of those 2 organs can give us a much better life.
Kidneys are important as they do not regenerate easily and they are the source of our life essense.
The kidneys (Gate of Life) govern the brain, the memory, the bones, the ears and the hearing, the spine, the lower back, the hormonal organs, the knees, the willpower.
How to strenghten kidneys:Read more
Day 16: 31st January 2010
Yesterday evening I had a craving for salt, and as I see my general condition still as Yin, I allowed my self to put a bit of salt on my rice. This morning I even had a umeboshi before my breakfast and this afternoon, I sneeked to the fridge and put my finger in the miso and put a bit raw miso in my mouth.
That is why I decided to stop a few days with Rejuvelac, and I only will drink it, when I have cravings.Probably the bit of lemon juice that I put in the Rejuvelac, makes it too Yin to drink it during a Number Seven Diet. I will replace the Rejuvelac with normal water and of course, GABA brown rice milk.
Day 15: 30st January 2010 ; Elimination
This was my tongue on the first day of my diet so on 16th January 2010; a normal, healthy tongue.
The first 10 days of my diet, I got a bad taste in my mouth only in the morning, now it is almost the whole day, so I took another picture of my tongue today and look:Read more
Day 12: 27th January 2010
I slept from 20.30 till 05.00, I went to bed early as I was tired, so do not plan too many physical things when on a Number Seven Diet.
My weight today was 68. My breakfast was a glas of Rejuvelac and a glass of GABA rice milk, and afterwards I went for a 2 mile/3kilometer walk (speed 3m/h, 4.5km/h) and I was wearing shoes with very thin soles, so my feet's soles got a good massage.
My stool was not perfect, as my liver has to adapt to the second level of my diet, so I will give my liver 2 days time.Read more
Green Tea GABA rice
A few days ago, I received from Bryan (Raitong Organics Farm) a sample of a new product: Green Tea Gaba Rice. As I know his products are the best on the market (probably even worldwide), I just love to be his guinea pig, so I cooked the GTG-rice (Green Tea Gaba rice) today.Read more
